The dolls rode their bikes on the driveway in the Smoky Mountains. Alas, I forgot their helmets! This photo reminds me of all the times my sisters and I would ride our bikes down our steep road when we were young, speeding fast with no helmets. Totally unsafe. The road pictured is actually a driveway and very steep.

The dolls ride down the driveway.

And then they have to push their bikes all the way up again. Kit waits while Celeste catches up.

In addition to forgetting the doll's helmets, I forgot shoes. Ach! So I had to make shoes for Celeste out of duct tape, lots of hair bands and blue cardboard. The blue cardboard is all the letter L's cut from a Life cereal box!

Alas, the shoes were taped to Celeste's feet during construction so they probably be destroyed when I remove them.

Lovely pictures! DH has family in Asheville and Cullowhee, so we see a lot of the mountains--I never get tired of the beautiful scenery, especially in the fall!

And what clever shoes, too, Ms. McGyver! See if you can preserve them well enough to take some pictures of how they're made--they look great!

Julia, you are so innovative! I guess a person really CAN make anything out of duct tape, LOL! I liked the McGyver comment, this would definitely qualify as a McGyverism--ya done him proud!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">LOL, yep, I've seen many a McGyver episode with our sons but McGyver and dolls never seemed to go together before. We should have a hostboard contest sometime - make a doll accessory/piece of furniture/item of clothing etc out of Duct Tape. LOL I'm into cheap thrills.

WOW! As always, you are an inspiration. I think I'll save these photos on my computer, so I can go back and look again and again (if that is okay of course!)
